We visited the Botanical Gardens, via cable car, and while the girls went looking at the rose garden, Tom(UK) and I went to the Observeratory to look though the telescope at some Sun spots.
Just off to the airport to fly south now and a thunder storm has sprung up so it should be an interesting flight.

(Message to TechSas - I've found a great place for the southern hemisphere office!)

My state-of-the-art 3G phone doesn't work in any country other than the UK although the 3 help desk say it does. Luckily everyone elses Pay-as-you-Go Orange phones do, so don't call me....

Hello. How's it going? It looks like you're doing some pretty cool things and shooting around a bit! I remember that smell from the geysers in Iceland - its terrible isn't it. Well done y'all for going up the super tower! Do you have another relative called Faye? How cool! Say hi from me if you see her again ;-) Keep having fun. Lots of love, faye xx

Hi All,

sounds like you're having a fantastic time and you've got even better to come! The glaciers are fantastic - if you get chance to walk onto (or even upto) the glacier it is awesome!!

Also - in Wanaka DON'T miss the puzzling world - it's very cool!!

Finally - christchurch is awesome! It was a real high note to end our hols. Look out for the Wizard in the square (~1pm-1:45pm) - he might not show on a Friday as the council are currently putting on a lunchtime music thing with local artists. try rowing/punting on the river it's great fun - just remember to direct the rower and not to spend too much time filming stuff!!
